What's really sad is the decline of the English language - 'there' for 'their', 'outragious' for 'outrageous' - and it's not just you... it's rampant. That said, it was a really funny comment!

This is where the Wicker Park and Bucktown crowd -- accountants by day, hipsters by night -- go for a bite when they're hung over. "Yeah, dude, gimme extra 'capacol' in der." I went a few months ago and I was really disappointed. The cold cuts were low quality. This made the sandwich bland despite the fact they try to mask it with loads of giardiniera. D'amato's bakery down the street was terrible too. Unfortunately, even with a sizable Italian community in Chicago, it's a challenge finding quality food. Bari Foods is for the Soprano "Italian-Americans" and the "cosmopolitan" hipsters who don't know anything. If you're seeking the real stuff, you should shop at places like (Angelo) Caputo's and Joseph's Food Mart and make your own sandwich at home. They are on the northwestern edge of the city, but well worth the hassle of a drive or bus ride.

I now live in Seattle and Bari is on my short list of "must do's" when I visit Chicago. On a recent trip back, I had a party with 50+ people (adults and kids) and I served Bari sandwiches. It was dirt cheap and everyone commented on how great they were (they ate every last crumb!). When I used to work in Chicago, I would get Bari sandwiches delivered for our lunch meetings and everyone loved them. As you can see by all of the 5-star reviews, you cannot go wrong with Bari. But do not just stop at the sendwiches. Try the meats, especially the italian sausage, and cheeses. Also I highly recommend their pasta sauce, particularly the one with meatballs. Better than homemade! In all, great service, great food, for a great price.
