Over -rated..Food is not what it has been in the past. I have been going here for over 5 years...I had{ a crossint egg sandwich with one strip of bacon..... }There was over a hour wait , when we called and they said 45mins... our table was at the east front window. Where we had to be stuffed like sardines. prices have went thur the roof$$$$$ specials at 12$ $14 are not a deal. Mac ds is way better and cheaper. Sorry Bongo room
INSPIRED. Probably the best breakfast place in Chicago - no question. Service may be average, but who cares! The food is designed by someone who is inspired, adding various items to make breakfast truly unique. The coffee rocks. Price is on higher side, but if you want the best, you pay for it.
Great tasting breakfast, they prepare your omelet however you desire and with fresh ingredients, none of the boxed stuff.. Great place
Only downside would be the wait, it gets TOO crowded on Sunday, waits could be eternal.. so plan to get there early!!!

I can say that any designer breakfast place in a metropolitan area will be a good wait on a weekend, so if you don't want to wait then go to the Golden Nugget or IHOP (which are good for what they are), but if you want a truly awesome breakfast that has talent behind the creation of each menu item and want to be involved in truly unique urban restaurant setting, the Bongo Room is amazing. The one downtown is a little less "packed like sardines" and the main servers are amazing.
