HERE WE GO STEELERS-HERE WE GO! Okay, I wanted to keep this short and sweet, but if you are a Steeler fan, you have to be here for the games.. however, if you AREN'T?!!! I'd steer clear (no pun intended)
In other words Joe's turns into a Steeler bar for all Steeler games, I've been doubted by many chicagoans until they entire Steeler Country. Yes, there is a live polka band, a buffet line just because they love you so much... and lots of energy. I'm getting ready for a 3p game, just had to post the review.
Good nonpartisan sports bar: As a 49ers fan in Chicago, there aren't a whole lot of good choices for watching your team. Joe's is certainly an exception. They have a huge number of televisions in 2 cavernous rooms. Yes, if the Chicago game or something relevant is on, you are stuck with listening to the audio from that game but you can still watch the game on one of the jumbo screens. If you're lucky, you can secure a booth in the front room with it's own T.V and some audio or closed captioning(this is more likely pre or post Chicago game when the crowd has thinned out). Anyways, the wait staff is on top of it(maybe a little too much at times) and the crowds are generally friendly(I've never gone there for a 49ers/Chicago game though, so..)
Fun place to drink a beer and watch a sporting eve: The service is good, drinks are not too expensive. Sometimes the Cover is too high.
