Fair Muffler & Brake

I went here to fix my breaks, they were bad. However, the guy working was the biggest BS artist I have ever witnessed. Ridiculous. Total scam artist. He told me my CAR, not just the breaks, were finished done, unrepairable. It would cost thousands and thousands of dollars to fix. To say the least I was shocked and really bummed out. My car is old but I do take reasonable care of it. I told my friend this and he said he would have his friend (Who runs his own shop) look at my car, that he couldn't believe what I was told. His friend and his mechanics told me specifically what was wrong and they could fix it that day for $600! I told them what I was told at Fair and they said the shop and that guy should be put out of business, that I was simply lied to and were amazed at what I was told. They showed me exactly what was wrong and that nothing this guy said was true and actually was just wrong. DON'T EVER GO TO FAIR, EVER! If I could give them zero stars I would, and I'm contacting the BBB. Stay away,

I been to Fair Muffler a couple of times for major and minor exhaust work, and both times Scott and his staff has done exceptional work. Scott and his techs are very knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. I myself am a "gear head" and know about fixing cars. I am very particular and know when quality work is done. In terms of price, I believe you pay for what you get. Scott only uses top quality USA parts, which I would only use on my Jeep. Yes, you can go cheaper at other shops, but you will be back in a year or two, because they used low grade quality parts which won't last. I hope I won't need to go back to Fair Muffler for repairs, but if I do, I would definitely take it back to Scott and his team. Thanks Scott for the good quality service. Happy Jeep Customer!

I've been coming here for years and I've always received friendly and quality service. What I didn't realize until recently is that I've been severely over-charged on numerous occasions, sometimes as much as dealer prices. Shame on me for not shopping around and shame on Scott and Fair Muffler for not taking care of a loyal customer when it comes to pricing.

Price is not everything.....and I will argue that the mechanics at Fair really know their stuff. If you want quality service, you will get it at Fair - but be ready to pay an absolute premium for it.
