About:Mei Shung's menu offers a generous sampling of Mandarin specialties. But, for slightly more adventurous diners, the real treat is taking advantage of the Taiwanese dishes, which are far more than your standard sesame chicken and orange beef variety. For example, how about trying the jelly fish? Or sea slugs? If that is a bit too much for your palate, the chicken with sweet basil or the shrimp with hot bean sauce is sure to please. The setting is bare bones, but pleasant, with the emphasis put more on the food itself. Reservations are only taken on weekends.

Not the Best Value: I only went to this place once and won't likely be back, but it's not for anything that should keep anyone else away.

Personally, I don't like the kind of fried rice that has the peas and carrots in it, and that is what this place serves. Also, I thought the food was pricey overall.

What's cool is that they offer two different styles of Chinese quisine: Mandarin and Taiwanese - on two different menus. It's kind of cool.

I ordered takeout so I don't know what service is like but the people who handled my order were very friendly.

Again, it's my personal Chinese food preferences that keep me from going back. Plus, I do think they are pricey.
