| About: | Touted as the home of the city's best burger by three local newspapers, this out-of-the way burger joint and watering hole is worth the trip. Moody's has been serving up its half-pound burgers and skin-on French fries since 1959. The restaurant's decor is simple, with heavy, dark oak tables reminiscent of a German beer hall. But during the summer, the best seats are outdoors. The tree-covered patio, ivy-covered walls and gurgling water fountain will whisk your troubles away and take you to a world where the only thing that matters are good burgers and a pint of brew. The pub is open from 11:30am to 1am from Monday to Saturday and it opens at noon on Sunday. |

Awful service. Credit cards not accepted. My friend ordered a coke and she got a root beer, but was still charged for it. Even though only two of us ate before others arrived, we did not receive a check. Later, the waitress (an eastern euorpean troll), stated that they could not give a check for both of us since other members of our party arrived. Despite the fact that it is common practice for the waitress to ask the customer for refills on soft drinks only if they are free, she seemed to "forget" to inform us that refills were not free and then charged us $1.50 per refill for a total of $7.50 (five drinks, and one was the wrong drink)! We had a coupon which allowed for two tepid burgers. One was $8.00 and the other $4.00 with the coupon. Of course, we were not given a check because by the time we left many others had come and they do not give out individual checks. We ended up paying $30 for what should have been $18.50. No itemized bill was presented to the two of us and the total was not presented. Moody's is too loud for proper communication and the lighting is too poor to even read the prices on the menu. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RIP-OFF PLACE. Many other places have better burgers, better service, free refills (or at least they inform you) and will even give you a bill. With all these practices, I wonder if the IRS ever checks this place out.-

RUSH RUSH RUSH! THATS WHAT I GET EVERYTIME I GO TO MOODYS! ITS SAD! IWENT LAST WEEK WITH A FRIEND AND CHRISTINE THE OLD BIG BRESTED SHORT HAIRED HAG WAS SO RUDE AND ANGRY SHE HATES HER JOB! I WAS SHOCKED! AND TO TOP IT OFF THE FOOD WAS COLD? AND BUS WERE HARD YEP HARD! WHAT HAPPEN TO MOODYS! THEY ALWAYS RUCH YOU BUT AT LEAST THE FOOD WAS ALRIGHT THE BURGERS ATLEAST! ONE TIME I ORDERD A STEAK FROM MOODYS WORST MISTAKE EVER! AND THAT NIGHT TO TOP IT OF I HAD A FRIEND FROM RUSSIA IN TOWN SO WE WERE ALL DRINKING DING SHOTS ON A MONDAY NIGHT I WAS OFF FRIENDS WERE ON VACTION SO WE DRANK! THE WAITRESS STARTS COMMENTING RUDELY WHEN WE ASK FOR ANOTHER ROUND AT 8 OCALOCK IN THE EVE "WELL DONT YOU HAVE TO WORK TOMMAROW"? AND SHE WAS NOT KIDDING! WE WERE SHOCKED THERE WAS NO ONE THERE TOO! WE FIGURED SHE WOULD WANT THE FIFTY DOLLER TIP I WAS GONNA GIVE WITH THE 150 DOLLER BILL? IT TOOK HER 2 HOURS TO REALIZE WE WERE STAYING FOR DRINKS IT IS A BAR? ANYWAYS I STILL WENT BACK ONLY TO HAVE ANOTHER HORRIBLE EXPIERIENCE! I AM DONE I WILL TELL EVERYONE NOT TO GO THERE AND WHY TOO! I WORK HARD FOR MY CASH AND SO DO OTHERS NO HONEST HARDWORKING PERSON SHOULD BE RIPPED OFF AND TREATED RUDELY LIKE THIS WE THE CUSTOMER PAY THERE PAYCHECKS! IF I WANT TO DRINK A PITCHER OR TWO AND PLACE A FOOD ORDER CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT MOODYS PERSON? HORRIBLE SERVICE, COLD FOOD, HARD OLD BUNS, GROUCHY JOB HATEING SERVERS WHO RUSH THE HELL OUT OF YOU ITS NOT ENJOYABLE! DO NOT EAT HERE DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE!ANYONE CAN SPOON ONO BLUECHEESE ON A GRILLED BURGER! INCUDEING YOU AT YOU OWN HOUSE! ALSO I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ST.ANDREWS PUB GREAT FOOD NO RUSH NO STAFF THE OWNER IS THERE ALL THE TIME WICH MEANS QUALITY WELL ROUNDED SERVICE, THEY HAVE PITCHERS CHEAPER OF BETTER BEERS AND MORE IMPORTS THAN MOST PUBS ASWELL! THE FOOD HONESTLY IS GREAT EXEPT FOR THE JUMBULIA I HAD SOME IT WAS NOT ABUNDANT AND WAS VERY SOGY AND THE RICE WAS UNDERCOOKED BUT THAT WAS ONCE I HAVE BEEN MORE THAN 20 TIMES AND ALL IN ALL GREAT CONSISTANT FOOD AND SERVICE! AND THEY HAVE BOARD GAMES YOU CAN PLAY WILL YOU HANG OUT AND EAT AND DRINK THATS WHAT I CALL INVITEING UNLIKE MOODYS OR RUSHYS! BOTTOM LINE DO NOT GOMTO MMODYS DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE! ITS B.S. AND THERE TAP LINES ARE FILTHY LOOK IN A RUSHYS PICTHER AND SEE THE SETIMENT FLOAT YUK!

Moodys is the place to be. Big portions and low prices. The pitchers are huge and the fire places inside are the best.
