bland bland bland bland, and the staffers said it was suppose to be that way. They got upset when we're disappointed. They only take cash to make sure you have NO RECOURSE, because they told us absolutely no refunds under no circumstances. I see why they were closed by the health board. HIGHLY OVER-RATED, Keep taking cash only and getting suckers who don't know good food.

When your up early in the city and you want an awesome breakfast? Go to Lou Mitchells, this is hands down the best breakfast restaurant I like. Just make sure you bring cash otherwise your the sap in the atm line inside the little door opening.

THE BEST! We came from California to see my sister in Great Lakes, IL (bootcamp graduation), did some sight-seeing while we were there and stumbled across Lou Mitchell's! Glad we did. Our first time there and I would recommend it to anyone! We walked in and greeting by a little girl handing out Milk Duds. Un-sure of the gesture I took it anyway. Then a young gal assuming her mom was passing out freshly made donut holes with powdered sugar that they make fresh in their bakery there in the restaurant. We ordered a dozen to go for only $3! We were sat and given an orange slice and prune. Again, not sure we asked. "Just something good for you to enjoy!" WE ordered the Meltaway pancakes. Nothing short of perfection! The best! Celebrating a b-day? They make your day extra special by ringing a large old styled bell and have the whole restaurant sing to you! Pretty cool i thought! Their egg omlettes are served in a mini skillet pan..really charming!
If you are in town try it! Its'well worth it!
Oh and looking for cheap parking?
behind the restaurant is a lot that charges $14 bucks for the whole day until 12am! Im from SF and thats chunk change!
