Small Work Meeting Held at Ann Sather: My boss Peter, had asked me to plan a small 2006 kick off meeting at Ann Sather. He wanted to do something a little more comfortable and Ann Sather was the first place to come to mind. I reserved the Norwegian Room upstairs for 10 to 12 people and let them know this was for a meeting. The room was $35 refundable to hold.
When we arrived the room was set up roundtable style with a flipchart and coffee all ready to go. The room is very old world charming! It was a nice getaway from our usual high tech environment, which was exactly what my boss had in mind. The only problem was that we were not able to easily locate an outlet that worked. The waitress, Kelly, was helpful and brought us an extension cord.
After everyone arrived, Kelly brought Ann Sather's famous cinnamon rolls to the table. It was fun to introduce some people who had lived in Chicago all their lives to the wonder and glory that is in an Ann Sather cinnamon roll.
Kelly took our orders and soon after brought our meals. Even though it was lunch, I had my favorite... Eggs Benedict. Two toasted English muffins, thick slice ham, poached eggs and holondaise sauce. Delicious!
I explored the other rooms upstairs and saw two that were bigger. There is a larger hall that was being set up for a speaker and there was another with lots of light and windows that would be so nice for a large family get together.
I've been to Ann Sather's many times... I'm addicted to the cinnamon rolls... and I'm sure I'll be back.
My Favorite Brunch: For a comfortable lunch in unique shopping district, Ann Sather's is perfect. The omelets are excellent, and paired with the cinnamon rolls make the perfect filler to last until dinner time. The service is excellent. I highly recommend Ann Sather's.
A good time is had by all: Can't go wrong
