About:Everyone knows that Chicago is the home of the stuffed-crust pizza. Local connoisseurs will tell you that the place to go is Nancy's, a small, friendly restaurant. Nancy's menu features a modest but well-executed array of appetizers, entrees and desserts, but people come here for the pizza - spicy, tangy and unbelievably thick. The crust is solid and slightly crisp and does an excellent job of holding in copious amounts of cheese, sauce and toppings that threaten to bulge out.

    The best dish pizza ever.: We had the calamari and antipasto as appetizers. The calamari was nice and crispy and the salad was generous with authentic italian cheeses and meats. Our waitress took our pizza order early and it was a good thing because the stuffed pizza took about 40 minutes to get baked and served.
    The sauce was savory without being overpowering, the cheese had a full flavor, not the rubbery white tasteless stuff you can come across these days.
    The crust was crispy and we we loved it.
    We did have to let it cool down a bit for the little guys, the adults plunged right in. Old fashioned yumminess, no hype unpretentious, just totally delicious and well worth the wait pizza.
    There can be a wait on Friday nights.
