    Blue's is a local favorite and if you aren't from Kankakee you won't know about it. The place has been the same since I was a kid and it really is like hanging out in your grandma's kitchen. All of the food is fantastic but they are known for their breakfast and their pie. The pie is homemade and each day there has to be at least 15 different kinds. It's the best pie you'll have anywhere and it's reasonably priced. I believe when I was there a few months ago it was $2.50 per slice. The wait staff has been the same for years and they'll take good care of you. Be prepared to wait for a table if you arrive during standard meal times. The wait isn't usually too long but I recommend arriving just before or after those rush hours.

    Wait staff is fantastic!!! Salad bar is something to be desired, everything tastes a little wierd, If you like hospital food this is the place for you.
