This is probably the best pizza in Kankakee. If I order pizza in town it wold usually come from sammys.

Great Food, Great Waitresses!! Pizza is da bomb!! My brother from out of state has to make this a stop at least once when he is visiting here!

Would be 5 stars but it seems to always be freezing in there no matter what time of the year.

Kankakee institution: My first experience with Sammy's Pizza was in 1958 when they were located on West Broadway in Bradley and owned and run by the Aprile family. Since then I've taken every opportunity to pig out on Sammy's pizza even though I left Kankakee in !966 for Chicago (where their pizza isn't bad, either). From a single guy to father of four and grandfather of nine I've made sure that everyone in the family has been able to enjoy Sammy's one-of-a-kind crust and just the right amount and quality of toppings. We've made numerous special trips from Chicago just to experience my version of "Soul Food".
I now live in Louisville, KY but make it a point to reacquaint myself with Sammy's whenever I have occasion to revisit Kankakee.
