The food was ok as was the service. Its basically a burger joint. However, the wine store below has some outstanding wines.

We visit Galena 3 or 4 times a year.On a recent trip,, my wife and I stopped at Boone's Place for a drink. After receiving the bill, I questioned the price of our drinks, which were both $2.00 more than similar establishments in Galena.

The bartendar was very apologetic, but a lady, who I assume was a Managerial person, was very abrupt and snippy, in stating that this was top shelf liquor, which we hadn't requested. Without belaboring this point, I will say that there are many nice places for food and drink in Galena, but we will not return to Boone's Place and will pass our opinion along to our acquaintances.

I have been involved in Marketing and Customer Service for years and this lady does not know the first thing in Customer Relations.

Potatoes / Burgers / Chicken Salad: Was a Great Lunch, Nice place to relax watch tv, after walking main street Galena.
