My husband and I were passing through on our way back home from Rockford for the weekend, when we were looking for a place to eat. We happen to find Jessica's on our restaurant guide sheet that we had with us. We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and they were busy. We asked how long the wait was and the lady said about 10-15 minutes. I think we waited about 5-10 minutes. We were seating and the lady took are drinks. She brought them pretty quick and took our order. We had our food in about 20 minutes. I know that may seem long for some people, but they were really busy. We didn't mind waiting. The food was good, and the prices are fair. When we left the waiting like was at the door.
Very disappointed.: Having grown up in Roscoe IL, and actually gone to school with Jessica, (Mrs. Bodack's class, 3rd grade) I went to Jessica's resturant all the time. My parents loved it, we were there for breakfast, lunch or dinner, at least one day a week. I moved to Scotland five years ago, and last summer when I came back home, I was eggar to take my husband and my son into this resturant. We went for breakfast, around half nine on a Tuesday morning. Sat down and waited around 10 minutes for the waitress to take our order. When she did arrive, she was very curt, and actually told us to be quick because her break was coming up. We ordered drinks and pancakes, etc. While we were waiting for our breakfast, I asked another waitress if maybe they had some crayons for my son to colour, which she said she had no idea. Didnt even ask someone else to find out or look around. About half an hour later, (which is shocking, considering there were only 6 other people in the resturant) she finally brought our drinks, WITH the breakfast. We started to eat, and my husband signalled her back over, to ask her for some more napkins, which she very rudely asked him to repeat by saying, "WHAT ?" over and over. I then, said, he is from Scotland, he has an accent, he would like some napkins please. She went away, brought the napkins back, and stated she does NOT speak Scottish. Over all, the food was absolutely lovely, but the waitress we got, left a lot to be desired. She was very rude, and curt, her hair was a mess, and very very slow.
Righly reccomended to visitors to Roscoe: My wife and I go to Jessica's on a regular basis since moving to Roscoe in July 2005. As far as value for money goes, this place is really hard to beat. The cheese cake is the finest I have ever tasted and I have been all over the world.
