Mike is one of the most unprofessional so called "chefs" I have ever seen. His restaurant is a joke. It has only been successful due to Rockford being poisoned by it's chains. Just because Irish Rose is differnt by it not being a chain doesn't make it good. In another city, this restaurant wouldn't be where it's at and be closed by the health department.
Our times there has left us never willing to go back.
You want to not only be ripped off, have stale food (the lady was right, the seafood was horrid. Our oysters were hours away from going bad), and enjoy drunk servers who can't even do simple math, come here to the Eerie Rose...errr...Irish Rose.

I LOVE The Irish Rose! The food is so fresh and well prepared and the menu changes often (weekly, I believe). The staff is very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Several times I have been there and the owner came around with complimentary food to try. The atmosphere is comfortable and the prices are very reasonable.

I LOVE the âRoseâ.
I go for the atmosphere and food. Both of which are fantastic.
The staff is friendly.
The food is outstanding, even on a âbadâ day I wouldnât rank it below an eight on a 1-10 scale.
I am a Rockford local and I have never noticed overpriced food, they offer âAdult Happy Mealsâ which are a lower priced special/alternative. I have personally spent as low as $12 and as much as $26 for just myself. You spend what you want to at the âRoseâ and I have never left unsatisfied.
I have never had a bad experience at the âRoseâ and will continue to frequent it.
