We will be stopping again, you should too!!: What a wonderful place and wonderful people. While visiting our mother at the Prairie City Health Care Center we drove into Avon for lunch at the Main Street Cafe. There were three of us for lunch and thought we would all try the special, Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, green beans, cottage cheese and roll for $5.95. There was only one special left so the baby of the family got it, boy we my bother and I jealous. The plate was full and absolutly delicious. The FRESH chicken salad sandwich that I had was the BEST and My other brother had the patty melt. We bragged to the rest of the family how much we loved it and they were planning to go the next day. Oh, and I can't forget the fresh homemade Midwest Carrot Cake. We asked for one piece to share and it was sooo big that the three of us were not able to finish it. Can't wait to stop in again and You should all do the same when you travel through there.
