User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe had good, friendly serice and tasty food at Jardines in downtown Ottawa IL. Had Flautas: 3 small tortillas wrapped with chicken inside & deep fried, topped with sour cream, lettuce, tomato & avocado slices; served with refried beans and rice on side for about 10 bucks. The fresh made tortilla chips and salsa were outstanding. The lemonade was refreshing. Good thing we had the chips and salsa; the meal was skimpier (for the price) than most restaurants. We were satisfied, though.

The time you have to wait for your dishes is excesive. I can't tall about the quality of all dishes, but if i would make a call about the quality food, depending on the two dishes i tried. It is no good. Actually it doesn't taste as mexican food at all. I ask for a "queso Fundido" "melt cheese" it was more like a hot milk with some chiorizo, the chorizo (Mexican sausage) have to said was good.
So, I wouldn't be back on this place, at least it was the only food store open on that moment. I mena is not that bad, but for sure you'll find a better place to eat in town by sure, even McDonals..... hey wait a secon i think not that bad........ But Burger king is better.

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis place is terrible!! I took my girlfriend there on a date and the portions were so small. I got 3 strips of chicken with my fajita and it cost upwards of $13!! My girlfriend get a taco meal that came with one taco with the smallest diced pieces of chicken i've ever seen. Also you are charged for a refill on the complimentary chips! Are you kidding me?? We were still hungry afterwards and had to goto Taco Bell. And the food at Taco Bell was better!
