User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIf your looking for the best italian food in town this is the place.Beningos is on the westend of town and in a residential area of Bloomington. It has that 70s look going in side.The food there is fabulous and I love the lasagna.I have been told that there catfish is really good as well.Janet is the owner and this has been a family eatery for over 30 years. This is a nice sitdown to take your Girlfriend or wife. I am a local and truly believe this is the best Italian food in the area.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe flavor and superior taste of the dishes served at Beningo's surpass the subdued, low key facility in which they produce their cuisine. I have to curtail my self calling up a take out order of the lasagna even after having it the day before. I recommend anyone who appreciates a well prepared Italine dish to visit 610 west Chestnut Street hwen passing through Bloomington and be overwhelmed by this demure restaurant.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGood food with great staff. Some say it is hard to find as it is tucked away in a neighborhood, but really it's just 3 blocks off Business Route 51 near downtown Bloomington.
The decor could use a refreshing up, but we go back for the great food, not the atmosphere anyway.
