I've been to Sully's twice and was disappointed both times, primarily with the service. The first time I was virtually ignored by the wait staff. So I stayed out of the place for years. Today I was on jury duty, so I had to find lunch downtown; I decided to try Sully's again. I ordered the gyro platter ($7.50--gyro, salad, and cajun fries), and the waitress said, "That's on special today." "OK" I said, thinking I'd save a bit. The meal came without any salad. I ate wondering if perhaps I'd been mistaken that salad was included, so when she brought my bill I asked to see a menu, and there it was--salad. I asked her, "Why didn't I get a salad?" She said "That's not included on the special." I said, "I wish you'd told me that when you changed my order to the special." "She offered to bring me a salad "to go" anyway, but I declined. Normally I tip 20-25% . . . but not this time . . . and I won't be going back to Sully's until I totally forget about this SECOND bad experience there.
An excellent place to stop in and enjoy very good food. Early evening and weekends will often find Sully's packed with customers from all ages and backgrounds.
Should have never walked in: Can someone tell me why the health department hasent been called to this (BAR). A tip to Sullys: lets just keep the bar open, at night, where no one can see bugs on the floor. Thanks
