Went to Alexander's for our anniversary in December and it was GREAT!!! Going back today to celebrate my birthday!!!
Pro: Bradley dorm outing so it was free for me!
Cons: Everything else! I was there with a large group and we were seated in the room to the left of the door. While it was quite, we were also there alone which made it feel really odd. It also meant it was a fairly long walk to get to the salad bar and to make bread. However, that turned out not to be a big deal since there were ice cubes IN the ceasar salad and the customer side of the grill was so cold the bread took forever to toast. Furthermore, the butter turned it into a soggy mess that was just awful (I cook well at home and the piece that came with my dinner was no better than mine...).
As for the main meal, I had a small steak and a potato. Both came out cold and though I requested a rare steak, it was very well done. Additionally, we had to ask for butter and sour cream as the potato comes without anything on it. Yum. Not.
Regarding the service, we had about four servers but you won't know it. Drinks were wrong, service was slow, and hardly anyone got their steak cooked correctly. Also, it took one person's meal so long to come out that the rest of us had already finished ours when her's came out.
I admit the idea is good, cook your food yourself and so on. Perhaps if I'd done that it might have been enjoyable but as it was it was not. I also think their prices are way to high for a "do it yourself" place.
In all, if you go expect an OK salad bar (if you only eat the pasta salad and the bean salad), and a bland meal. I'm not looking for a place that wins awards for plating style but give me more than a piece of meat, a potato, and a slide of nasty bread on a plain white plate. I've actually had better meals at Bradley for $3.75, not steak but they were cooked right! Best idea, save your money or go to another steakhouse!
Wow!!! what a dissapointment, clueless server, clueless and rude, and, unprofessional manager.
Unclean place, (nice salad bar for a pig trough). SQUEEEEEEE
