If anyone want's a true authentic Chinese dining experience in Bloomington, this is it. Nobody in three states can come close to their egg rolls. Not Chicago China Town but for Central Illinois it's right up there. Next best thing(s) we have down here are bunches of take-out joints and all you can eat buffets.
Owner is 3rd generation, Mom still cooks. Ike (OWNER) is a hell of a golfer.

I went there with a couple friends on Friday night because my friend wanted to go there. No problem being that I am easy going. I had a warm beer and some soggy shrimp Lo Mein with black soy water. Disgusting! Will not go there again! Yes, the place is dirty! As far as price goes, it is about eveywhere else. It is not a Chinese Restaurant. It is a Chop Suey Place! Yuck!!!!

I think you should try "Panda Bear" at the mall. You really don't get get it when it comes to Chinese

A friend found an intact artery (aprox. 2inch long, 5 mm diameter)with associated vein, nerve and lymph node in her eggroll. They totally use "waste" meat in their dishes. These parts are most likely from a pig. We prepared slides and the tissue showed no thermal artifact, if you know what I mean--- undercooked!!!!!!

Why would you waste your time preparing a slide in an eggroll? FYI hot dogs, Bolgna, and KFC chicken are products of waste meat. If you want to see "waste" in processed food sometime go to the discovery channel archives and research commercial fisherman. A lot of the catch goes to McDonalds and Burger King for their Fish Sandwiches. The waste is bought by huge Japanese food conglomerates and sold to Sushi bars. Why don't you take your Microscope to a place like McDonald's or just buy a bag of frozen shrimp at Schnucks . I know the owner of this place and know excactly in Chicago where his supplies come from daily. It's a market store in the district along Hawthorne. All of China Town gets supplies from there.
