The atmosphere was decent, maybe a little outdated but still nice, expect for the butcher paper cover over the table clothes. There should be some background music or something so you canât hear every conversation at neighboring tables.
The service was fast and friendly, the bread and olive oil was good but the dinnersâ¦..well Iâve had a lot better.
My wife had a fillet that looked like it was finished in the microwave, there were no juices on the plate and it had a strange texture. It didn't really have that âsteakâ taste.
I had the linguine marinara with shrimp, ugh. The first shrimp I had was tough and chewy, way over cooked, but it tasted ok. The next one had a plastic taste, if you have ever smelled a styrofoam cup burning it tasted like that smells. I couldn't eat any more of the shrimp.
I also paid extra to add a little Italian sausage on top. They were thin gray slices of mystery meat that really had no flavor.
In summary, if youâre in Tuscola and want Italian food I think thereâs a Pizza Hut or Monicals in town.
We went to Tuscany on a Friday night, new ownership now.Service was horrible, the way the salad was served was he/she had 7 salads on the platter and some of the salad plates were stacked on top of the salad.(not sanitary at all) Drinks were late, people that came in after us were served first, soup was handed over a persons lap.Food was cold some food was brought first then finally the french fries arrived and some of the italian food was burnt, when checking out was asked how things were, complained and was told WELL WE WERE BUSY TONIGHT,and that was the only reply we got, did not apolige. For the price it was just as expensive, we didnt see alot of people .Restaurant was not busy at all ,not like it always was when Sonny was the manager.
First off, I will say it was packed, not really a seat to be had. This was my first experience at the restaurant, but i had heard good things so I went in with pretty high expectations. The bread sticks and oil were fantastic, but after that it was down hill. Our waitress seemed rather unfamiliar with the food on the menu and unsure of what certain dishes looked like. My wife had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. She said is was pretty good, but the sauce was ridiculously heavy. I ordered the Veal Rollatini which if you are familiar is veal with mozzarella and prosciutto rolled up in it and fried. When my meal came to the table I could tell right away that it was frozen and then fried. The filling tasted like ham with Velveeta, not too Italian! I got pasta with it and when she brought it to the table she just brought plain pasta in a dish, no sauce, nothing - Our waitress acted surprised that we wanted some sort of sauce with our pasta side. The waitress was attentive, but just lacked the quality of service I expected. Maybe i just ordered the wrong meal, but there were so many entrees to choose from they could cut their menu in half and still have questionably too many entrees. We'll go back again and try it again, but my first impression wasn't the greatest.
