Wittmond's Restaurant

We were going through Brussels from the St. Charles, MO airport and stopped at Wittmond's. The food was unbelievable. It was like the meal that mom made when I was a kid. Quality down home cooking. Bring your appetite and stop by. Nothing fancy inside, but don't let that stop you from going to the dinning room:)

It's been at least 5yrs since we have ate there, BUT I started eating there back in the 70's. Hands down some of the best home style food money can buy. I talked to an old friend recently who use to have a club house in Batchtown & said both of our families need to take that trip once again to remember all the great times we had out there & enjoy the food once again. We both had forgotten all the great times & food we had in that building..

Some close friends turned me on to this place while on an eagle watching trip. First of all, I loved the charm of the historic building and the beauty of the surrounding landscape. But it was the family style food that impressed me the most. I've since returned and it will be tradition. The food is a treat for the senses and you will be filled to the brim. If you manage to make it to the bottom of any one item, the pleasant servers will replace it with a fresh filled bowl. I am taking friends there next week because this place is great enough to make me want to share it. Trust me... You'll love it!
