Preference: I have gone to Dave's for a long time. I have tried Blockbuster, Hollywood, the local grocery stores, and I always find myself coming back to Daves. I just prefer it there...and I have never been asked for my account #'s to anything! So if you like the corporate megastores where people tell you what is good, go somewhere else; however, if you are like me and have a rational mind, you would probably prefer a locally owned store.
BTW...people are people...we all have bad days-even at work...and I have caught attitude from an employee at too many places to count...it's not just at any one particular store, it is human nature.

Don't ever go here to rent movies.: I don't know if I caught someone on a bad day or what, but I asked about getting a membership to this place. I was rudely told that they would need to see, not only my ID, which was no big deal, but they also wanted to see my bank account numbers along with other information that should not be given out. I told them where they can stick their membership and I haven't been back since. I've also been telling everyone I know, NOT to go there.
