Philo Tavern

Being new to Philo, I have driven past the Philo Tavern many times and simply drooled over the smell. I hadn't made it in there yet but reading the Yelp reviews made me extremely excited about the prospect. Recently divorced my quest for new employment prompted me to phone the Philo Tavern to inquire as to whether or not they were in need of extra hands. A very scary, manly sounding woman answered and when I asked if they were hiring, she said "I DON'T KNOW AND IT'S LUNCHTIME I GOT TO GO!!" and SLAM went the phone in my ear!! Oh my. If that's the type of people I would be working with, never mind and if that's the type of person that would be serving me, never mind that either. Don't think I care to step foot anywhere near a hostile establishment like that and I will be sure to spread the word of my experience. And ya know, obviously if she was too busy to answer a quick question then they apparently DO need help...perhaps with a personality like a rattlesnake, someone is insecure about the stability of her job. Good luck, Philo Tavern. I think you will need it.

I gave this restuarant this rating because I believe the name should be changed. Now dont get me wrong, the food is great but it's really not a tavern its a restuarant.

I travel 1500 miles every year just to eat here!: Can't beat the Philo Tavern to meet up with friends and family! Food is good, service is good, but the way they treat you like family is amazing. They always have a cold one ready for you at the Tavern.
