We went to Casa Azteca and the recommendation of a local friend. We were very disappointed in the food at this establishment. While the buffet was reasonably priced, the food had very little taste and was not very hot. I do not recommend this business.
NOT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD!!
I went to Casa Azteca for my first mexican dining experience in Illinois, and was deeply dissapointed. I would have gotten better food from Taco Bell-which I don't ever eat at. I got a taco, tamale, enchilada w/ rice and beans. The beef was greasy, slimey and tasteless. It all taste the same-GROSS! The rice and beans had no flavor whatsoever. I ordered the sopailla w/ ice cream and got chips covered in cinnamon and sugar with a ball of ice cream rolled in corn flakes, which was supposed to be their fried ice cream.
I will never go there again, and would not suggest this restraunt to anyone wanting authentic mexican food.
The buffet food was luke warm to cold, NOT pleasant when eating. The food utensils on the buffet line were 98% completly submerged into the food. One practicallyl had to dig the spoons out of the food to re-use them. Gross!.....The waitress was nice, however the hostess working the cash register didn't acknowledge, smile or say a word, not even a thank you. With so many other restuarants in the area, we will never go back to this one. Don't recommend this place to anyone.
