Had dinner at Mungo's again last night. Never disappointed. Between the food and service why go any place else! We could drive across the river to the hill, where you always find great italian food, but i enjoy a taste of the hill right here on my side of the river. Very fortunate to have Mungo's in our neighborhood, been going there for about 20 years or more. The atmosphere is cozy, never rushed, and worth the wait. I've been reading about Mungo's being pricey, have you checked out the restuarants in St Louis? Save yourself the gas money, and enjoy what we have in our own state, some of the best italian food going. thank you Mungo's for your continue stay on our side
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOK, I wrote a review a few months ago disagreeing with LimoBarbie and somehow my review is gone and the date on hers now says 2008, when it was originally posted in 2007. I totally diagree with her and I guess she didn't like that so she complained and got it taken off. I think that is very childish. I love Mungo's and have every right to write a review saying that I love their food. Just because LimoBarbie wants to try to tear them down and make ridiculous accusations does not give her the right to get mine taken off. My husband and I go to Mungos a lot and have always had the best service, food, and atmosphere. It is a great date place. They are more expensive than places like Fridays and Applebees, but it is worth it. I feel like you do have to pay more to eat at a decent restaurant. The specials are always delicious, and they have the best salads. They have also always been so great about getting us to-go orders. We have a toddler and sometimes it's easier to pick up food rather than take her somewhere when she won't sit still. But every time we have picked up orders, they have never shorted on food just because you're getting it to go like some places will. So LimoBarbie, please be an adult and let me give my favorite restaurant a good review.

My post was also removed. Nothing like censorship......on of all things restaurant reviews. I too disagreed with limobarbie....but from your (chuck) and my experience apparently we are no allowed to disagree with someone. Mungo's is great...give it a try and judge for yourself.
