Sherry D's response is disheartening and goes to show AGAIN the lack of professionalism from this salon. This forum (insider pages) is for people to give opinions of the service they had at businesses and it is sad that this "business" would sink to such a level that they would actually threaten legal action against someone just because the review was bad - -
1. Instead of trying to make good on the situation when they were initially contacted and found this respone they sent me a letter from their attorney --
2. I will not be detered in my freedom of speech as a consumer by this unethical behavior
3. Not only that they disclosed INCORRECT information about me as a person not a business in Sherry D's response.
4.Giving other customers privy to other customers personal information is a huge no/no.
Now Sherry D thinks she will shame me. It is called a debit card Sherry D - and its called getting married and PAYING FOR IT ALL OURSELVES on OUR own in CASH and not being told that in addition to your trial run you have to have a 100.00 deposit after the fact. Information about one customer should never be given to another customer just one more example of the professionalism or lack of from this salon.
Let me tell you what should have occured - although I don't own a business even I know this....
1. Customer complains -- has valid complaint or maybe as business owner you don't think it is valid.
2. Apologize at the very least to the customer -- even if you think it may not be valid an apology goes a long way.
What not to do:
1.Do not ignore someone who is obviously upset who feels (right or wrong) they were treated badly. This person has the power of word of mouth and in todays age technology to legally voice her opinion.
2. Do Not threaten legal action because they feel and expressed had a bad experience --adding fuel to the fire of just a bad experience.
3. Do not bad mouth them (a person not a business) to other customers and disclose false or personal information and have them write nasty things about them on the internet.

I recently was "brought" into the studio with my fiance. Although I had my own magazine to read, the welcomness extended from the staff prevented me from cracking the cover. To make a long story short, after 30 minutes of chatting with everyone in the salon, Carla gave me my best haircut to date. Thank you to everyone at the Mane Attraction. Why I was ever brought there is still a mystery, but the reasons I will return are very clear--Great People! Great Service! Great People! Thank you!
I disliked about half of the employees. I remember two of them being extremely nice, (Jenni was one of them) and the others were very rude. Talking about other customers, former employees, and just plain gossip is not very professional. When I went in to get my hair cut, I had long hair. The stylist that I was given had long hair and acted stuck up & conceited. She cut my hair way shorter than what I had requested. I think she wants to be the only female in Collinsville with long hair. That was upsetting. I did really enjoy the massage that I got from there, (a nice brunette girl named Kristi, or Crystal or something) although the office was very small & you can hear everyone talking.
I travel from St. Louis to get my hair cut here.Amazing experience every time I walk in the door. Appointments made to fit my family's and my schedule. Always a smiling and helpful face to great you as you walk in the door. Laura is amazing with me my partner and excellent with my child.If you want an AMAZING cut at an AMAZING price with top quality service; this is the place. Laura is you girl.
