This was the worst place ever... Lousy service, dark and EXTREMELY slow service.. They call it mexican? Not a chance. The chips were from a bag i bet, the salsa was extremely watery , the pizza was extremely thin and burnt .. Never again will i go there!

I cannot for the life of me understand why this place is so popular in Quincy. The food here is NOT good!
First for the "Mexican" food: The chips are just a generic store-bought brand, nothing special. The salsa---YUCK! It can't possibly be that hard to make a salsa that is decent but this one has little flavor and the flavor it does have it bitter and gross. Nothing about the Mexican food is authentic--it is the whitest, most caucasian "mexican" food I've ever had in my life. If you want good mexican food go to the Maya, Mi Jalapeno, or even Taco Bell but DO NOT GO TO GEM CITY.
Now for the Pizza: It isn't terrible and it is definitely far superior to their "mexican" food but there isn't anything special about it, certainly nothing special enough to merit Gem City's popularity. I think their pizza could be compared to Cassano's pizza but it doesn't taste as good.
As for the restaurant itself, it seems dirty--light fixtures above table were dusty, etc.
If you are considering eating here you should reconsider. And for you die-hard Gem City fans; break the mold and go try something different you may just like it.

man o man was that a good pizza. Now for the mexican food, well your definately not in mexico. Im not sure if they even get there recipes from mexico. lets just face it, if you want good mexican food do not go there. 5 stars for the pizza 1 or less stars for the mexican, except for the margarita's now the would make the green, white, and the red proud.
