User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDelicious!! Maldaner's is the perfect spot for a great tasting, intimate dinner in Springfield. I eat there regularly and have always enjoyed mouth-watering food and wonderful service. They use fresh ingredients from local growers-the fall dishes are especially delicious.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy roommate and I stumbled into this place quite by accident! We just got back from St. Louis and ventured into Springfield. After going around town we decided to head back downtown. We parked the car nearby and got out of the car and journeyed onto the streets of downtown. Walked past several eateries and then happened to see Maldaner's and decided to take a chance. We both ordered the Chicken Penne (it was on special for lunch) and were both delighted with our friendly waiter (Mark) and the service. The food was just terrific! We also had dessert - my roommate had the cherry cobler - (absolutely to die for) and I had the Queen of Sheba cake - just the right amount as it is a rich dessert but terrific too! We'll be back to have an evening meal there in the future! I love the fact that Beef Wellington is on the menu - we'll be back try that for sure! Great restaurant and terrific value for lunch!

At lunch time the menu prices are comperable to other restaurants in Downtown, yet the atmosphere, food and service are much better. A great value for lunch.
