User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat New/Used CD, Record,DVD,Video Shop: I've been going to this shop for years, one of the best new/used cd and record stores in Illinois, one of the last surviving independent, mom and pop record stores in central Illinois in this mp3 age. Large cd and record selection, the biggest I've seen outside of Chicago or St. Louis. Punk, Indie, Rap, R&B, Soul, Metal, Hardcore, 60's, Blues, Jazz, every musical genre is covered. Great store for the Deadhead. Many collectables and live recordings. Great place to trade or sell your unwanted cds, albums, dvds, videos and games. Nice magazine collection too. Excellent, friendly service.
I would give this store 5 stars if it weren't for one basic fact, the two brothers who own the store, while nice guys, take a perverse delight in forcing secondhand smoke on their customers, filled ashtrays are all over the store, you can come out of there reeking of smoke, plus if you go in near closing time, the glass counter tops have ashes all over them from their chain smoking employees. That's the only drawback to this store.
