User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsReally good Italian food and great prices!!: Florindas has the best Italian food in Taylorville. The owners are native Italians and brought some of their best recipies with them. I haven't had anything on their menu that I didn't like. One of my favorite dishes is the Canneloni. Their pizza is excellent. I highly recommend the Sicilian stuffed pizza. It is made like a regular pizza then another crust is added on top with more sauce on top of that. Of course it is best when fresh but it also makes great left overs or a cold midnight snack. I am a huge fan of Angelos pizza also reviewed on this page. Don't ask me which one I like better because I think they both are in their own league. While the food is great the atmosphere at the resturant might leave something to be desired. If you are expecting great food you will get that but don't expect a romantic setting. The service on the other hand is top notch. You might even get served by Florinda herself. The resturant is located on the historic downtown square. There are several shops and historic sites to see within walking distance. More often than not I use their delivery service. The food always comes within 45 minutes and is just as good as what you would get in the resturant. I have introduced several friends to Florindas that otherwise would not have tried it. All of them have enjoyed the food with several of my friends returning and making it a regular stop throughout the week. Eat here once and I guarantee you will enjoy it and be back.
