To the person who had worked at the approach before I have too. I agree with everything you've said and there turn over rate isn't so great either......
My wife, her parents and myself went there on Valentines Day for a nice dinner, because we had heard such good things about the restaurant...but when we got there, we sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited for our table, the bar tender forgot my mother-in-laws soda. After quite some time, my wife reminded the bar tender that we were still waiting for the soda, which she then got. Once we got seated at our table, we sat there for OVER AN HOUR, and NO ONE came to our table for ANY reason, no drinks, not to tell us that they were busy and someone would be with us as soon as they can. We stopped a waitress, to ask if they forgot about us, and she informed us that they were extremely busy, then she went and got (who we all assumed was the owner of the place) and he came to the table and said that someone would be right with us to get our drinks...another 25 minutes went by and still no one came to our table. After watching everyone that was seated in our room, order, eat, and leave...still no one came to our table. With that, we all got our coats on, and started toward the door. On the way out, the bar tender, and another guy said "thanks"...not knowing that we hadn't even got waited on. Then we went to another bar...The South Side, and got IMMEDIATE service, and the food was GREAT. We were happy to tell everyone that we talked to in The South Side, how our experiance at the Approach was, and that we would definitely return.
As for the Approach...they really should change their name to "The Decent". They won't EVER have to worry about anyone in our family, or any of our friends returning to that place. The service SUCKED, as far as the food goes...we have NO IDEA...we NEVER got waited on.
Approach Restaurant: New owners; updated menu; and excellent food! Servers are speedy AND with a smile!Weekends the parking lot is beyond full! They even have customers coming from 50 miles away. Last week I called in an order 'to go' after work as I sometimes do, and was told they were not taking 'to go' orders the rest of the evening because they were just swamped with 'sit down' customers...waiting in line. I would suggest getting there early if you go on the weekend. Need I say more?

You would think that if they let you in the door you'd get fed not the case with this place. I'm an ex employee who has seen the underlining situations that go on in this establishment. I've seen waitress get mad at customers and just never go back to there table because the didn't want to be bothered with them. The man who more then likely came to your table was (Tommmy Parker) kind of over weight, black feathered back hair which was probably drunk because he drinks everyday at work. If you have children I wouldn't take them in there employee's getting drunk falling out of there chairs and then out the door after using bad words very loud isn't the place i want my kids at. I stopped working here after discovering that cocaine was being used by all the employee's including one of the owners.....Little Jim R...who is also the cook. I don't know about any else but i wouldn't take any of my family members in there and eat. The big thing in the kitchen there is that they will snort lines of COCAINE on plates not wash it and throw food on it and serve it to someone and know if its going to a child or elderly person that it could kill.....So yeah no reason they forget people, there high on cocaine ALL THE TIME, ALL OF THEM I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES.
