User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBeen eating Pagliai's pizza since 1973. The pizza is still the very best in all of Illinois and the USA. I now live in Dallas and can't find a decent pizza restaurant. Nothing lives up to Pagliai's pizza. Wish they could send it down here.

Pag's is the best pizza in Carbondale... no doubt about it. The choices of crust allow any customer the opportunity to create their own. The ingredients are fresh, from the vegetables to the meat, and the crust cooked on the oven cannot be beat. If you are not in the mood for pizza, the pasta choices allow for even the non-pizza fan to enjoy a savory meal. Great atmosphere for dining... great food... great prices. Who else offers fresh spinach as an option for a pizza choice?
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsPagliai's is hands down the greatest pizza in Carbondale, southern Illinois, Illinois, and the United States. Home made crust comes in four varieties, all homemade and hand tossed: thin/crispy thin/chewy thick/cripsy thick/chewy. In my opinion, you can not beat thick/crispy (cooked in a pizza oven on a brick). I love, love, love the vegetarian #2 pizza (spinach, tomato, broccoli, mushroom). Don't like pizza? They have a great selection of pastas also. Manicotti is to die for!
They do not open until 4:00PM -- too bad!
What could be better after a Saluki victory??!!??
