What a fun place. YOU have to see it. All new owners, new menu. Even a full bar.
EXCELLENT!!!
The Yellow Moon Cafe was remodeled and opened under a new owner in Fall 2008. What a great addition it is to the Village of Cobden and Southern Illinois. The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch. In the evening it's a popular gathering place for area musicians. The bar features local wines, especially those from the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. The menu features local products such as organic beef, fruits, and vegetables. The potato soup is a menu favorite along with the roast beef and Havarti cheese sandwich. The menu and ambiance are reminiscent of restaurants in tourist destinations such as Eureka Springs, AR and Galena, IL, and Saint Charles, MO. Free WIFI is available to customers. A room is available for private parties. Once you visit the Yellow Moon Cafe, you'll want to return again and again. Cobden, IL and the Yellow Moon Cafe are located approximately 17 miles south of Carbondale, IL and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
