    WENT TO THIS RESTURANT ON 9/16/09 FOR DINNER THEY HAD A GREAT ALL YOU CAN EAT SPECIAL. WELL ANYWAYS WENT THERE MY MOM HAD THE CHICKEN PARMESAN AND WAS SHARING IT WITH MY LITTLE NIECE AND SHE WAS ABLE TO EAT IT RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE IT CAME OUT COLD. ORDERED AN DIP APPETIZER AND THAT WAS EVEN COLD. OUR FRIEND HAD ORDERED THE STEAK PATTY WITH A BAKED POTATO AND THE POTATO WAS REHEATED TWICE AND THE STEAK PATTY WAS SUPPOSE TO BE WELL DONE AND IT WAS STILL PINK IN THE MIDDLE. THEN HE HAD TOLD THE WAITRESS ABOUT THE POTATO AND SHE BROUGHT OUT SOME FRIES IN LESS THAN 3 MINUTES AND THEY WERE COLD. THEN WE REQUESTED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND SHE SAID SHE WOULD TAKE HIS MEAL OFF THEIR TICKET AND DISCOUNT OUR TICKET. WE SAID THAT WAS FINE. SHE DID TAKE HIS MEAL OFF THEIR BILL, BUT ONLY DISCOUNTED $2.00 ON A $26.00 BILL. DON'T GET ME WRONG THE WAITRESS WAS VERY GOOD AND POLITE ABOUT THE PROBLEM. BUT THE FOOD AND MANAGEMENT WAS TERRIBLE. MY EXPERIENCE OF THE FOOD AND MANAGEMENT -3 STARS, SERVICE 2 STARS. BUT WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTURANT TO ANYONE.

    Bennie's is a holiday tradition when we visit Southern IL! We love it. My favorite is the signature salad with their special garlic mix. I like it so much that I've asked if I could buy it in a bottle, but they said that they tried it, but it didn't work out. The consistency only worked when it was freshly made. Too bad, I could eat that every day! The pasta is good too, and the prices are very low in my opinion. I'm from a city, so when I visit Marion, I'm always shocked at how cheap the food is, haha! But I'm not complaining. Great food, great prices, I love Bennie's!

    "Bennie's in a box"... that's what my boyfriend and I call it because it's the worst Italian food in Southern Illinois. This place leaves somthing to be desired if you're looking to entertain your Italian palate. Shrimp alfredo has no flavor.....lasagna leaves something to be desired.
