I bought a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquee Ultimate Edition from Paul Cerame and less than 2 years in (out of warranty) the lights went out on me and although I was out of warranty I have had cars last 15 years without the lights breaking down. The dealer proceeded to fix the wrong thing and the lights did not work the very night I left the dealership. I then took it back and was charged $1100 for the so-called right fix. Even though they discounted this I was not very happy. I called Ford and they had a very nasty attitude and I also reported to BBB who doesn't really care anymore. Later my car stalled on me and I once again took it to the dealer and they suggested that the problem was a fuel pump and wanted to charge me another $800 and I had just spent over $1500 on this car which is not an old car at all. Luckily I wrote down the failure codes and found the fix on the internet and it was a simple filter $3 plus installation. I called the owner and he acknowledged that the problem was unlikely to be a fuel pump and he didn't know why they would tell me that. He asked if there was something he could do but I told him nothing and that I don't trust them to touch my car anymore. Midas fixed my car and that's where it will go from now on. I owned a Chevy Caprice for ten years and when problems occurred even if it was out of warranty they were very much sympathetic to the problem and helped with the pricing as well. This is my last car from Paul Cerame needless to say.
