Kim the receptionist is downright rude. She refused to release medical records in an acceptable amount of time. Dr. Allen has been no help in resolving this matter with three separate messages on three separate days never a returned phone call. I had been a patient for more than 6 years but will not go back.
Dear Dr. Allen,
I wrote you a letter a couple months ago, after being told that you do not talk to patients, "Doctor" Becky would respond. On the envelope I labeled in bold red letters "PERSONAL" "CONFIDENTIAL" " FOR DR. ALLEN ONLY". Within a few days, my husband received a phone call from another patient of yours, ranting about the "CONFIDENTIAL" letter I had sent to you. Then you had Kim (your best asset) write me a note that you would see me for free, just make an appointment. You know I have a phobia about doctors, and about people knowing my business, yet not only do you gossip to other patients about me, you want everyone in your office to know what I have to say to ONLY you, in confidence, as my doctor.
The last time I made an appointment, I made it for first thing in the morning (on the first available day), arrived 10 minutes early, only to find both your exam rooms already occupied by walk-ins. I was weighed by "Doctor" Becky, and put in your storage room on a stool, while the "Doctor" took my blood pressure and temperature. You breezed in, asked if I wanted the same prescriptions refilled and breezed right back out.
Not a bad way to treat someone who has been helping to pay your bills for 13 or 14 years, and referring you and praising you to every one I met. With me, my husband, son and mother (for 2 years about every other week), and insurance company, I think we showed our loyalty to you.
The last time my son was in to see you (about 2 years ago), you humiliated him so bad that he refused to ever go back to you. Yes, he is very big, now about 6'4", but guess what, he's a human being with feelings, as are we all.
Before that letter I wrote you, I was completely without all my meds, which you refused to refill until I came in, (I see no reason to be shuffled around by the "good doctor Becky"), even the Zoloft that you promised you would never see me without.
Since that letter, I have been to an urgent care center with my legs looking like raw hamburger. I was able to get prescriptions for Lasix, a salve, and a pain killer. I was told that my blood pressure was so high that I better get to a doctor ASAP.
So, here I am, at my computer writing this very public letter to you (since you have no use for keeping my information confidential anyway). My swollen legs still look like raw hamburger, only more of it. They are dripping and oozing, creating puddles at my feet, and feel like someone poured boiling oil over them. I'm also very light headed, dizzy, and crying because I have no hope. I will go to another urgent care center tomorrow (believe it or not, they're not as expensive as you are). You can forget the "free" office visit. Your unfeeling treatment of what I thought was confidential to you, and your treatment of me and my son have left me no other choice but to find a new doctor. If you really care about your patients, go back to the way you were and get rid of "doctor" Becky. If you don't care about your patients, please find a more lucrative business that will not hurt the people that trust in you.
By now, you know who I am. Don 't worry, I won't be un-referring or un-praising you to make up for all the praise I've given you. I sincerely hope that you find your way before you loose all that you've worked for.
By the way, how is your OLD FRIEND, Cindy?
I am updating a previous review I had submitted. I need to THANK Becky for all the things she has done for me. At the time I had written My initial review I was not that familiar with Becky, as I had recently returned to having Dr. Allen as My Primary Care Physician. Becky always returns My phone calls, if she does not have an answer for a question I may have she will get the answer and call me back, she has gone out of her way to have prescriptions refilled for me as I live apx 1 1/2 hrs from Dr. Allen's office if I have ran into some conflict of scheduling or if I am having a difficult day and it is nearly impossible for me to remain in a vehicle for more then 1/2 hr at the most. I feel VERY secure with her knowledge in the office setting, and she sure makes you feel welcome, even if she is having a bad day or if she is very busy, etc. So Becky this Special THANKS goes out to you!!!! and keep smiling, it always brightens My Day and You and I both know how sometimes it is difficult for me to look at life as if there is a bright future ahead somewhere, and somehow this will have a cure or better treatment options available. But Becky you always make feel good as soon as I arrive to the time I depart, and Thank You for that as a smile makes all the difference in the World to me. *****To Dr. Allen & Kim, THANKS Again, and thanks for never giving up on me, as that has made me not want to give up on myself!!!! You All Are GREAT.... :)

Thank you for your review. I will be visiting Missouri and was referred to her by someone. Your review was very honest. Do you know you can sue a doctor for breach of confidentiality?
