I loved Buca..@ first it was boring, i was trying to make the best of it...bt things turned around quickyly...I had such a great time by the end of the nite...and had nada 2 drink! I'm so sad that they closed it down cuz ppl cant handle their dranks...
I go to Buca often, preferably on Thurdays for the $1 U call its. I have heard alot about Buca being racial, etc. In my own opinion, I have never seen the staff at the door turn a white man around for his clothes being to baggy, unless he was with a group of black guys. I do not want to label this place as being racial, but I do think they have stereotyped the people not to get in as the black people with baggy pants. In the same essence, I have seen many black men get turned around, because YES they pants were hanging to their knees, and that wouldn't be acceptable in their moms house, so why do it in PUBLIC. So overall, yes I'm a black woman, and I straddle the fence on this issue, because it's hit or miss with BUCA.
Great club, with Great Drink Specials, but sometimes overly two crowded. I would hate to see a fire break out in this place, we all be crispy critters.
When fights break out...security bombards the crown knocking people over, and just trying to get the disruptive crowd out, but also hurting innocent bystanders, who have no where to move but the path of trouble. :( I speak from EXPERIENCE!
I hope tonight they have the upstairs opened.
Went there on a Thursday night...won't waste my time going back. If you've never been there before, it's in the basement of a building, with the lights on to where you can hardly see anything. They let in way too many people, to the point where you can barely move. Tons of broken beer bottles all over the floor, horrible sound system. I guess they only thing that made me want to go there in the first place was the $1 drinks, but even that was dumb because the bartenders are so damn slow.
If you have a choice, try Big Daddy's down the street instead.
