We walked into this place and waited over 15 min no staff ever stopped by the host station to seat us. I had to walk around an go into the kitchen to get someone to seat us. They had a very short menu and most of the entrees cost about $30. They refilled my water but never offered to get me another long island. The house salad was good but my girlfriend ordered the ceaser salad and it had some sort of sliced sardine on top which was kinda gross. The rolls sucked. They were sourdough. The entree we ordered tasted so bad that neither one of us ate more than a bite. We ended up at white castle. Oh and the bathroom is down 2 flights of stairs.
I am shocked at the number of stars this place has. It was the worst dining experience that I have had in a long time!!
The place is way past its prime. The hostess staff was rude, (our waitress was nice), the place was very dirty (saw a roach on the inside of the window) and the food was not outstanding (our appetizer was good, the steak was way overcooked and gritty). I did feel sick the next day. For $100 meal, I expected much more. The view is amazing, but you can go up in the arch for just about the same view - much cheaper!!
Terrible. We went there last night for restaurant week. Things started bad and got worse as dinner progressed. After being informed they had Schlafly beer, my boyfriend ordered the Schlafly Hefeweizen. They brought him a Pale Ale. When we told the waitress, she said that's right you ordered Schlafly. The prime rib was as chewy as my sneaker, and I suspect the creme brule, which was rubbery on top in stead of crispy, had been made a day or two prior and left in the fridge. I don't know if the food is always this bad or they just served us crap because we were dining for a little less on restaurant week. But, we will never go back.
