    Applebee's is overwrought and overpriced.
    I know a lot of people go to Applebee's, and if the good places in town are closed or too far out of the way, then Applebee's is fine.
    But every Applebee's looks like every other Applebee's. If I want to eat at a place that looks the same in every town then I'll force myself to go to Hardee's.
    Food quality has been mixed which is not good considering the prices they charge. People at my table have been served the WRONG alcoholic beverage, melted ice cream, and food no one at the table ordered.
    Their decor feels "forced"; they are trying to be thematic but it makes me feel like I'm in a home decorating shop.
    Service is lack-luster.
    Again, it's okay if everything else is closed in the area; otherwise, eat IN town, awway from the state highway if you want GOOD food.

    Great Place to go for Dinner: This is a chain restaurant, but it's the local flavor and the great service that sets this location apart. From the time you enter the door until you leave, the service is fast, friendly and extraordinary. Agreat place to meet friends, take the kids or meet a friend for a quick bite (I've done all three numerous times).

    Our favorite local place to eat out: When it's time to eat out, our first choice is usually Applebee's. The food selection is good, price is very reasonable, and service is most often very satisfactory. I like the casual atmosphere. To avoid long waits to be seated, we try to go at off-peak hours.
