| About: | Since opening in November 1982, the Campisis have treated all their customers like family. Mama Campisi started the restaurant, and her sons, John and Frank, carry on the tradition with taste and style. The building was named for Louie Oldani, the creator of the famous Toasted Ravioli. The result of an accident, the dish was born when the cook and Evilin Oldani dropped an order of ravioli into hot oil instead of hot water. After tasting, adding some spice and dressing, a popular favorite was created. National food critics visiting Oldani's have recognized the excellent cuisine and service. |

We were just at Mama's last night and all the food was wonderful, the dressing on the house salad is absolutely great! The service was very slow. We had to ask for our waiter so that we could order and the food came in a decent amount time. Then we had to ask for our bill after a rather long wait. All in all I would go back. The folks are very nice and the food excellent.....
Oh my God.. For the first time I feel speechless. It was so good it was almost painful. We were greeted when we walked in by a handsome crooner in a tux, microphone, and pinky rings lol and he sang to me! Pretty good too! I ordered the toasted ravioli because I heard they invented it- I believe them, it melts in your mouth- is jam packed with meat and not too crunchy like other places. It is like you would imagine toasted ravioli is supposed to taste. Then I had the seafood linguine! So delicious perfectly prepared with a baby lobster in the middle. I had a new martini the Sicilian Kiss! Then Tiramisu for desert- it was hands down the best meal I have ever had. 'Food from heaven' my friend said. Our waiter Patrick was kind, funny, and on top of it, as all the staff were- they moved like a symphony in time. If you do not visit this place you are doing yourself an unjustice to say the least.
I have been in Italy many times since I lived in Europe for 35 years. Mama Campisiâs is the closet to original Italian food I had in the US!
