A small place tucked away on an abandoned street. Atleast it looks that way. The service was good. The beans are super thick.. almost like chunky peanut butter (nothing crunchy in them) . The coleslaw was sweet not mayo based. The hot link is about a foot long with a nice smoke ring. The casing was tough to eat but the meat inside was good; the sauce a little spicy. The ribs were fall of the bone ( beef ribs); very tender and good. I am not from St. Louis so this were just ok for me. The food was overall ok but I will not be making a second visit..
The meat is excellent- slow smoked, tender and moist. The side orders are so dinky though. They give you about as much as fits in a teeny ketchup cup thing that they have at a Hardees or McDonalds.
I had a taste for bar b que and went to the right place. The pulled pork was delcious and the brisket was amazing. The mac & cheese was the best ever. The price and service was very good. We all agreed we would return to Smoki O's again soon. Next time would definitly save room for dessert which was peach cobler.
