I wish I knew what happend in the last few months. We went to Phil's a couple times a month. We went about five weeks ago and noiticed the food was not up to par. Over the holiday we got a carryout order for four. When we sat down to eat we found that we had mold on some of our bread. After we started to eat we were very disappointed. The sauce was tasteless, and the pasta sauce was nothing but tomato sauce, no spices what so ever. We will not be going there anymore. I had to post a rating, but the single star is to good for them.
My family has been going to Phil's ever sense it was Jack and Phil's. We went there today and there was nothing good about it. The food is not anything like it used to be, from the sauce, the lack of smokie flavor, to the moldy bread. This is so sad. The place I have loved for years, I now will no longer patronize.
The wife and I enjoy good bar-b-que so we had heard that this place was highly recommended. Neither of our selections were great. I had the beef, she had the pork. So we decided that we would not give that place another try. However, what prompted me to post is that someone at this restaurant altered the charge slip so that instead of a 25% tip (I think more than fair) it was changed to a 75% tip. We left several messages for the manager to call and straighten this out, but since that hasn't happened, it is time to let other people out there know what could happen to you. (BTW, I have my copy of the slip to prove my claim)I want to give this place no stars, so that is what my 1 star means.

Not surprised that someone altered a charge slip. They probably can't find any honest people to work as servers, since the owners/managers used to take money out of the registers and blame the servers for it. The honest people left there years ago. And the food is not at all impressive.
