1st of all- my debit card number was stolen when I paid for the wash. I assume the clerk had a skimmer in her hand.
2nd - I paid for the inside to be cleaned as well.. when I got home I realized they hadn't touched the backseat at all- still covered in dog hair.
I just left the Kirkwood Waterway car wash on my lunch hour and I have to say it is by far the worst of the Metro St. Louis Waterways. After giving the shop a another (final) chance by going today, the same bad service and inattention to detail has me saying no more to unbrushed white walls (Armour All over the dirt), no more unemptied ashtrays (I don't smoke, but leave mint wrappers), no more partially cleaned windows and I don't think I've ever had the dashboard wiped at this location. I work close by for a major employer in the area and will certainly express my dissatisfaction with this particular Waterway to my colleagues.
Getting hosed at Waterway: I would like to relate the experience I had today at the new Waterway location in Kirkwood, Missouri. I took my Porsche 911 in for a total service car wash and got much more than expected. After approximately 10 minutes the assistant manager informed me that they had broken the key off in the ignition and that furthermore it was my fault. He informed me that they have "thousands of Porsches a day" come through and this is the first problem they have ever had. After several minutes of questioning I was allowed to fill out an incident report but was also informed that they never pay on claims like this. Claims like this? Wait a minute he just told me they have never had a claim. As the car was still running and could not be stopped, I called the Porsche dealer who I have purchased 7 cars from over the years and got the name of the locksmith they use. I drove to their location and paid $95 to have the remainder of the key removed. The metal was twisted with enough force to literally tear the key in half. I returned and gave the repair invoice to the assistant manager. Later that evening he called to inform me that the claim was being denied as this was obviously my fault even though I was nowhere near the car when they broke it. In addition I was told that out of over 80,000 vehicles mine is the first one to ever have a problem so it can't be their fault. I was also informed that their records reflected another of my Porsches as well as my wife's BMW being washed in the last week and that as they truly value me as a customer they would give me car wash coupons in lieu of the repair cost. In short I will never patronize a Waterway establishment again and I would encourage anyone to do the same. You have been warned.

Typical Porsche driver , I am sure they are glad he is gone . That place is hands down the best car wash in the midwest , I have been there about 30 times each of the last few years since I moved from Chicago .
