| About: | Since 1972, the Cunetto family has consistently provided great food at great prices. With a spacious, nice, but casual atmosphere for diners, and a prime location right "on the Hill" and with plenty of parking, Cunetto's has become a place for both locals and tourists looking for the quintessential Italian meal! So come in and find out why Cunetto House of Pasta tops the Best Restaurants polls year after year. Anyone visiting St. Louis must try Cunetto's and make it as much of a destination as the Gateway Arch or the Zoo. It may be the highlight of the trip! Vince and Joe Cunetto were always cooking in the back room of their neighborhood pharmacy. The three legged, two burner countertop stove had to be held up with a coffee cup, but it did the job. Whether it was a big pot of soup or an old family pasta recipe, friends, local doctors, and drugs salesmen would gather in the small back office for a delicious meal. In 1972, the Cunetto brothers sold the pharmacy. Determined to stay on "The Hill" in the historic Italian section of St. Louis, they opened Cunetto House of Pasta in October 1974. Cunetto's, as it is most commonly called, still remains in the same location and continues to serve the same delicious traditional Italian cuisine since the very beginning. Over the years, Cunetto's has become a St. Louis tradition. Many families celebrate special occasions at Cunetto's or make Cunetto House of Pasta their regular Friday night restaurant. |

Cunetto's is one of the best if not "The best" Itilain dinning experience I have ever had. I found this small, family owned restaurant by accident over ten years ago while in town on business and make sure to visit them as often as I can when in town. Their Bar service while waiting for a table is very cordial and Kim and Kerry of their waitress staff have always been superb. If you have a chance to try their Lasagna you will be blown away. My favorite has not been on the menu for over five years, but they have never once refused to prepare the best Spaghetti carbanara (sp?) I have ever tasted. Enjoy!
OMG! ican say i have had the worst italian food ever! if somebody peed into the food it would of been an improvement! Don't get me wrong. i've grew up in an itialian neighborhood in chicago and been to italy. i know what good food is and this is not it
!calimari was rock hard and made my teeth hurt to chew it. the pasta i had tasted like water. they got me order wrong in the first place. ordered the sauteed calimari and got the fried calimari that was harder than gravel. got calimari pasta dish and i would of rather eaten dirt! do yourself a favor. put your face up to a tail pipe of a car rather than go here! at least you would get a better dining experience than here!
Wife ate there and got severely ill. Ended up in ER incurring almost $2,000 in medical bills. They did nothing to rectify the problem. Just FYI!
