    if you like nopales .....: there are not a whole lot of mexican restaurants that serve nopales (cactus), and even fewer that prepare it correctly. el tio pepe does both. great atmosphere and food!

    Best Mexican Restaurant in St. Charles Co.: No matter what time of day lunch or dinner this place always shines. The food is truly the best, served promptly, and very freindly.For big eaters I suggest the chimichanga with chunks of beef, you won't leave hungry I promise. They also have a good hamburger that our son loves. And I'd love to get their margarita recipie, it's exellent.I have been to both locations and no matter how busy it's always hot, prompt, and perfect.

    We won't go anywhere else for Mexican!: The food is the best. There are tons of Mexican restaurants in the area, and we've tried them, but none are as good as El Tio Pepe. The flavor of the food is wonderful, without being too spicy. Most items can be made with your choice of ground beef, chunks of beef (my favorite) or chicken (also a winner). It's nice to be able to choose. The service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. A family owned restaurant, and it shows in the care they take with their food and their customers. It's a great value. You get a lot of food for a reasonable price. And go for lunch - same great food, lower prices!
