I just started going there probably 5 months ago and i love it. I always get the source of life multi-vitamins they are wonderful for my busy life. The people that work there are so friendly. I would recomend anyone go there.
I have shopped at this store for a few years and am always thankful for finding the obscure ingredients I cannot find anywhere else in this area. Unfortunately I have decided not to purchase anymore items that are not canned or bottled. The overwhelming perfume of the store penetrates all plastic and cardboard. A few times I have been sure that the food I have bought smelled or tasted like this perfume, but was sure today. I paid $5 for a bag of pine nuts which actually tasted like the prefume. I even toasted them to be sure and that brought it out even more. Unfortunately I had to throw them out. What is this mysterious perfume? And how does it permeate to even the refrigerated items????
Imagine a little oasis of holistic health right in our very own community! I used to live halfway between here and St. Louis, and while I could have driven to the city for all my herbs, nutritional supplements, and alternative medicine books, I made the trip here every time. Now I live here! They have it all -- books, herbs, supplements, homeopathic supplies, a grocery section, gifts ... can't rave enough about this awesome little store!

I'm completely aghast at your problem with the"smell" of the items you've purchased at Earth Mother...this is THE purest store in Southeast Missouri. Maybe the"odor" you're smelling is the way nuts, herbs, natural things REALLY are, and we have become so evolved we think things like "mountain morning mist" or "tropical island sunset" are actually REAL scents! I have shopped at this store for years and I am have the upmost confidence that everything there is packaged and presented in the same clean, loving way that it was grown! Maybe you should stick to Wal-Mart, where your good old hard earned dollar can go toward some nice Chinese family's weekly salary!
