    I grew up in Kennett but only began to appreciate Bill Horton's barbecue after moving and experiencing barbecue elsewhere. There's good barbecue in various styles all over the country, but now I know how special Bill's is: very plain, not drenched in sauce, much less in thick tomato sauce, thus drier than many, but with a subtle vinegary tang and lots of crunchy outside pieces mixed in. You can always add sauce if you want, but you can't remove it, so I like having the option instead of being served a drippy sandwich that masks the meat's taste.

    Go there if you're interested in the food; the venue is atmospheric in a barbecue kind of way, but definitely not plush. Every time I return to Kennett, I go out of my way for a taste of Bill's great barbecue.

    Great food and service: Bill's B-B-Que has been around for a LONG time for a reason......Great food and friendly staff. Bill's is family owned and operated and one of the best places to eat in Southeast MO. I've known this family for years and they are hard working, clean, respectable people. We should be very proud to have a family owned and operated establishment in our community such as Bill's B-B-Que. If you are a visitor to our town...Bill's is a must go to place to eat. If you are a resident.....support them.....call in an order or drop by....you'll be glad you did! I promise you'll be greated with a smile and leave happy and full!

    Best BBQ Ever!!!: Building looks plain from the outside and the inside is definitely plain, but the food more than makes up for it. If you are just looking for good food at a reasonable price then this is the place. If you want a fancy restaurant that claims to have BBQ this is not the place, it's down home all the way. The best BBQ I have ever had!!!
