User Rating: 5 out of 5 starswe im 47 years of age and live in dexter when i was in grade school my mother live in dexter but a new how 14 years a go i look so forward to dexter queen i live in punta gorda fl and eate at the best place in the world and have paid 500 dallars for dinner at the palm in o fl but cant bett dexter queen i got of my plane when i come the first place ill have my mom take me is dexter queen it soooooooo gooddddddddd and thay allway have hot frys and got a lot and ill eat 3 jombo it make me happy to eat there it my past and my not cost a lot but it tast like it should cost 10dallars not 5adallars well have to hit the pool best bbq in the world
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsTHE BBQ TASTES PRETTY GOOD BUT I'VE HAD BETTER,I'D STAY AWAY FROM THE FRENCH FRIES THOUGH MOST OF THE TIME WE ORDER THEM THEY ARE WAY OVER COOKED,EVEN AFTER WE ASK THEM NOT TO.PLUS THEY HAVE RAISED THEIR PRICES SO MANY TIMES.MY HUSBAND STILL EATS THERE EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE,NOT LIKE HE USED TO AND I DONT EAT THERE AT ALL ANYMORE.

I'm a local girl who grew up eating the best bbq pork sandwiches ever right there at the Dexter Queen. I've lived out west now for almost 30 years and I can safely say, no other bbq like it exists. My husband, who grew up in Michigan, was a convert from his first taste. When I get back to Dexter I make sure I go have my 'fix'. I miss it like you couldn't possibly believe. Anyone who has the opportunity to try a Dexter Queen pork sandwich should NOT pass it up. (Local secret: Order it extra brown!)

Thank you for your wonderful review of our restaurant. My husband (who just retired from the Army) and I had the priviledge of taking over this landmark business on December 1, 2007 and we have worked very hard to keep the Dexter Queen tradition going. With both of us being locals ourselves, we understand the need of getting your "fix". The Pig is a truly deliciously unique treat that everyone should try.
