About:Also known as 'Lil' Jakes Eat it and Beat it', this tiny restaurant follows just that principle. It gets so packed that once you've feasted on some barbeque, you got to leave as it seats only around 18 at a time! Known for their delicious sandwiches, you have got to try the favorite thick-sliced, Hickory-Smoked Brisket Sandwich. If the spicy Texas style sauces get too hot for you, balance it out later with a thick, gooey homemade brownie. Yum!

    I cannot say enough good things about this place. We got there at 2:45 just before they closed and I must say the staff was awesome. We drove 4 hours to pick up BBQ from KC and this was one of the best places. The sauce is a perfect mix of spices and sweetness, one of the better sauces that I have had. The ribs were amazing cooked to perfection and a hearty portion. To go I got some burnt ends and some pulled pork and both were awesome a perfect use of using the smoke to give flavor to the meat. There are no flairs here, the restaurant is your basic BBQ joint, however they have a pretty good beer selection, a friendly staff and huge portions for a low price and best of all the BBQ is some of the best around. Trust me I will drive 4 hours to get some more soon!

    Moved to Southwest Boulevard due to the new Sprint Center. I think they only are open until 3pm.

    I had burnt end sandwich yesterday, the meat was tender and tangy, just the way I like it...the sauce, Texas style, delicious, it had a lot of spices in the sauce that were uniquely wonderful...like sauce from Gary Bo in the longhorn state.
